Debriefing and Reflection on Compliance Review

The CRP met with the Board Executive Director representing the People's Republic of China, ADB Management, senior staff, and operations staff in January/February 2011 to obtain reflections on the conduct of the initial stages of the compliance review for the Fuzhou Environmental Improvement Project. This is an important step to pursue a continuous improvement process for the CRP and the aim is to reflect on those things that went well together with aspects where CRP and OCRP may improve the compliance review process and produce a more effective system.
ADB Board of Directors' Decision
19 October 2010
The ADB Board of Directors discussed a report by the CRP on the Fuzhou compliance review case, supported the Panel's recommendation to review and improve the policy on the issue of site visits under the Accountability Mechanism and agreed that this should be taken up as part of the ongoing review of the Accountability Mechanism policy.

CRP's Final Report was submitted to ADB Board of Directors.
CRP Draft Report
13 August 2010
The Compliance Review Panel sent its Draft Report to ADB Management and requesters for review and comments. Responses are requested to be sent back to CRP by 12 September 2010.
Interviews of ADB Staff Conducted
14-18 September 2009
The Compliance Review Panel conducts interviews of ADB staff on 14-18 September 2009 as part of its ongoing investigation of the request for compliance review for the project. The interviews were held in ADB Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

ADB's Board Compliance Review Committee approved on 29 July 2009 the Compliance Review Panel's terms of reference and timeframe for the compliance review of the project.
